We Can Do the Whole Journey | Howard Lord Talks to Insider
Our founder, Howard Lord, recently spoke to Insider Media about the journey behind CERT Property,
In November, Elevator Studios in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle hosted Sound and Vision, a captivating art exhibition that explored the relationship between sound and visual art. Curated by our Community Engagement Marketing Manager, Johnny V, the exhibition showcased the work of talented artists such as Kelly Irvine, Stuart Harrison, and Mark Wigan.
Through a diverse range of styles and techniques, the artists in Sound and Vision transformed the intangible nature of sound into tangible visual experiences. From the rhythmic patterns of music to the emotional nuances of the human voice, the exhibition offered a unique perspective on the world of sound.
Sound and Vision wasn’t just an art show; it was a community event. By utilising the vacant space at Elevator Studios, we were able to support emerging and established artists, whilst contributing to a meaningful cause. Proceeds from the exhibition benefited Music in Mind’s Voices of Hope and Peace project, which aims to share the stories of Ukrainian refugees through music and multimedia performances.
Arts Bar Baltic, the central hub of the Elevator Studios building, also played a crucial role in the success of Sound and Vision, hosting an after-party and donating a proportion of cocktail sales, demonstrating their commitment to supporting the arts and community initiatives.
The exhibition is available Monday to Friday from 10am – 3pm until 6th December. While it’s free to visit, donations to our partnered charity Music in Mind are welcome! You can donate by visiting CERT’s Sound and Vision Fundraising Page or via the GoFundMe QR code at the exhibition to contribute.
Sound and Vision is just one example of how we leverage our vacant spaces with unique meanwhile uses, inviting the community into our spaces. By providing a platform for talented individuals and organisations, we strive to make a positive impact on the community in and around our properties.
