Wellington Street will offer design-led homes that combine vibrant urban living with the calm of green, communal spaces. Part of the wider Stretford Masterplan, a joint venture between Trafford Council and Bruntwood, the development forms an important part of the town centre’s transformation.

Plot 3 of the wider masterplan, located adjacent to Wellington Street, is proposed as the first residential phase. We are preparing detailed plans for 116 properties, arranged around a landscaped communal courtyard, including three-bedroom townhouses, duplexes, and one- and two-bedroom apartments.

Every home at Wellington Street is designed with comfort, convenience, and modern living in mind.

Residents will enjoy landscaped communal courtyards for relaxing, socialising, and play, while ground-floor amenity spaces encourage connections with neighbours. Internal cycle storage promotes active travel, and on & off-street parking makes day-to-day life effortless.

In keeping with the area’s character, we’ve proposed a lower building height onto Wellington Street to complement the existing properties across the road. Materials and architectural details reflect Stretford’s heritage while creating contemporary, design-led homes. New trees and planting will enhance the town centre’s greenery, bringing calm and balance to vibrant urban living.

Wellington Street is part of the wider Stretford Town Centre Masterplan.

This joint venture between Trafford Council and Bruntwood is transforming the town centre into a vibrant, sustainable place where the community can live, work and play. The vision is to create a well-connected neighbourhood, linking homes, parks, public transport, the canal and a mix of shops, leisure and hospitality.

The first milestone, King Street, is now complete, restoring the high street and introducing a new public square, Sir Tony Lloyd Square, at the heart of Stretford. Future phases will reinstate historic streets, create more green spaces, and deliver new shops, cafés, and leisure facilities, helping to shape a thriving future for the town.
