This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) sets out our acceptable use requirements when using the CERT Life App.
By using the CERT Life App, you agree to comply with this AUP, as well as our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Please read this policy carefully and ensure you understand and adhere to its guidelines. Violation of this AUP may result in the suspension or termination of your access to the CERT Life App.
1. Appropriate Use
1.1. User Responsibility: You are responsible for all activities associated with your account and for ensuring that your use of the CERT Life App is in compliance with this AUP.
1.2. Legal Compliance: Users must use the CERT Life App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to those regarding privacy, data protection, and intellectual property.
1.3. Respect for Others: Users must treat other community members, building residents, and the CERT Life team with respect, kindness, and courtesy.
2. Prohibited Activities
2.1. Unauthorised Access: Users are not permitted to attempt unauthorised access to the platform, its data, or any other user’s account.
2.2. Data Breach: Unauthorised collection or distribution of sensitive or private data is strictly prohibited.
2.3. Harassment: Harassment, threats, bullying, or any form of abusive behaviour towards other users is not allowed.
2.4. Hate Speech and Discrimination: Users must refrain from promoting or engaging in hate speech, discrimination, or any form of harmful content based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or any other personal characteristics.
2.5. Illegal Activities: Any use of the platform for illegal activities, including but not limited to the distribution of illegal content or substances, is prohibited.
2.6. Spam and Unsolicited Communication: Users must not send unsolicited messages or engage in spamming.
2.7. Intellectual Property: Users must respect the intellectual property rights of others and not engage in copyright infringement, trademark violation, or unauthorised use of intellectual property.
2.8 Third party Images: Users must not include any images of anyone other than themselves without the consent of that party.
3. Content Guidelines
3.1. User-Generated Content: Users may upload or share content, but it must not violate this AUP. CERT property may remove or restrict access to any content that violates this policy.
3.2. Inappropriate Content: Users are prohibited from sharing explicit, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate content.
4. Reporting Violations
If you believe that a user is in violation of this AUP or if you come across any content that violates these guidelines, please report it to community@certlife.co.uk.
5. Enforcement
5.1. Investigation: We reserve the right to investigate any reported violations and take necessary actions.
5.2. Actions: Depending on the nature and severity of the violation, we may take appropriate actions, including warning the user, suspending or terminating the user’s account, or involving law enforcement if necessary.
6. Changes to this Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time to reflect changes in the platform or applicable laws. Users will be notified of any significant changes to this policy.
