Why live in Old Trafford?

Just a stone’s throw from Old Trafford Metrolink Station, Kinetic is a great opportunity to rent a 1, 2 or 3 bedroom flat surrounded by world famous sporting landmarks, excellent educational institutions and a magnificent retail space, this ’Civic Quarter’ district is ideal for those who want easy access to the city but close for drivers to access the well-served M60 plus the A56 passing directly from the south to the north through Altrincham, Sale and Stretford.

Trafford Centre, Media City, Imperial War Museum North, Emirates Old Trafford & Man Utd, Victoria Warehouse – to name just a few cool landmarks Trafford has to offer.  Within these cultural and historic venues throughout Trafford and the surrounding areas you’ll find an array of exhibitions, workshops, sports, music events, film screenings and more.

Parts of Trafford still have a rural feel as it wasn’t until the late 19th century that Trafford truly became a part of Greater Manchester with the extension of the railway, before then it was untouched by industrialisation.  Now with the extension of the metrolink direct from Manchester City Centre out past the Imperial War Museum, Event City to the Trafford Centre this area will surely become a great place to live for those who want to be a little bit further out of town.

Food, glorious food!  There is a Tesco Extra opened 24/7 on Chester Road which is only 5 minutes walk away for all your groceries plus you have close access to a large Waitrose in Altrincham.  The food scene within Altrincham, Sale and Stretford is growing rapidly with locally-sourced produced at the ever popular Altrincham Indoor Market. Sale is also home to a wealth of places to eat and such a variety of cuisines, especially the award winning Bean and Brush cafe which is a hit with local families.  Just 10 minutes down the road you have Stretford, their food hall is becoming an even bigger hit than when Altrincham’s Indoor market, which is only open to independent traders only –  Manchester Finest have recently written a great article on “Is Stretford set to be the next big thing?”

Trafford is becoming more and more desirable to live over the last decade, with the latest introduction of UA92 opening its University doors this area is definitely going to have its very own hustle and bustle going on and not just on match days!
