Volunteers transforms Ancoats park to create community space for all residents
Bringing the community together. The friends of Ancoats Green community group is encouraging all residents to use the park and help to keep it clean and tidy.
A group of residents has sparked the transformation of their local park, with the aim of creating a new green gem for the area.
As well as volunteering to carry out regular litter-picking and tree-planting, the friends of Ancoats Green have helped Manchester council develop a major programme of work to improve then park – encouraging more local residents to enjoy using their local green space.
