Howard Lord identified as one of the top young entrepreneurs of the North West region – 42 under 42
Managing Director of CERT property, Howard Lord has been identified as one of Insider’s top 42 young entrepreneurs under 42, class of 2020. The Insider 42 Under 42 Awards celebrate the achievements and talents of these individuals showcasing success in the North West.
As a result of his direct passion for property and love for Manchester, Howard’s home town – CERT property opened its doors for the first time in June 2006, 14 years ago. Only a few years later, CERT became a recognised expert within the property investment market. With a constantly growing portfolio, CERT provides investors and partners with unlimited access to bespoke property investment opportunities that earn strong rental returns and generate long term value growth across commercial and residential assets throughout the North West.
Talking about the impact that the pandemic has had, and what the future effect will be, Howard Lord says: “As a property developer you are constantly making bets on the spaces you are delivering being desirable to their potential occupiers, so second-guessing future demands is nothing new. These demands are perhaps somewhat more uncertain right now. I think the only way to deal with uncertainty is to decide on a path you are going to follow and follow it with conviction.”
As well as property, Howard has an avid interest in health and wellbeing and has recently invested in the startup business, Feel Good Club which is the first of its kind, mental and wellbeing venue based in the recently renovated by CERT – Hilton House in the Northern Quarter. The new coffee house will host regular events including wellbeing talks, yoga and a series of mental awareness workshops.
Howard states: “Our vision for this property has always been to build a community, and to bring like minded people together. It was clear from the outset that our values aligned with those of Feel Good Club, and we are delighted to announce that they will be our second tenant at Hilton House.”
Congratulations Howard for being recognised in paving the way for property development in the North West.
